UBET to TAB – Website and App FAQs

 

ACCOUNT

What is my UBET account called now?

Your UBET account is now your TAB account for QLD / SA / NT / TAS.

This is just a change in name. Your details, username, password, products and great offers are still the same.

 

Will my UBET account information, including personal details, account balances and betting history change?

All of your previously stored information will remain the same. You won’t notice any change other than to the colours on the app and website, and the logo changing to TAB.

 

Will I need to create a new password to access my account?

Your password and account details will remain exactly the same.

 

Will my account number or login details change for my TAB account in NSW / ACT / VIC?

No, all of your TAB account details will remain the same.

You will still only be able to use this account to access products, offers and betting pools in NSW / VIC / ACT though.

 

Can I hold both a TAB and what used to be a UBET account?

Yes, you can continue to have a TAB account for NSW / VIC / ACT and a TAB account for QLD / SA / NT / TAS.

 

I currently have a UBET account. Will I be forced to transfer to a TAB account?

While the name of your UBET account has now changed to your TAB account for QLD / SA / NT / TAS, this does not change any of the products, offers or betting pools you have access to. 

You will continue to be able to hold a TAB account for NSW / ACT / VIC and a TAB account for QLD / SA / NT / TAS (legacy UBET account).

 

Can I link by TAB and lotteries online account?

Not yet. We’ll be investigating opportunities for linking accounts in the future.

 

If I have both a TAB and UBET account will my account management tools (Deposit Limits, Max Bet and Take a Break) apply across both of my UBET and TAB accounts?

No, these will continue to operate separately.  You should continue to manage your activity for these accounts separately. 

 

If I have both a TAB and UBET account  and I self-exclude from one account, will it apply across both of my TAB and UBET accounts?

Exclusions and Barrings are intended to apply across all of your accounts, meaning that if you self-exclude from one account, we will endeavour to identify any other wagering accounts that you have and close them as an exclusion. However, as this is a manual process, should you have a TAB account with a NSW, VIC or ACT jurisdiction you should contact the TAB customer contact centre on 131 802 to ensure that this exclusion is applied.

 

PRODUCTS

What products, offers and betting pools will I be able to access with my TAB account for QLD / SA / NT / TAS?

You will continue to have access to the products, offers and betting pools that were previously associated with your legacy UBET account. 

Right now, all we’re changing is the ‘covers’ – the colours and the logo. We’re not changing the products, betting pools or offers each State and Territory has access to right now.

While we are not changing the products you love, we are adding some exciting new features, these include:

  • Racing and Sports Preview Show
  • Race Replays
  • Enhanced form information - including commentary and last start replays

 

Where can I find out what products I can play by State?

Head to the relevant websites to view products by State:

As a customer in QLD / SA / NT / TAS do I have access to TAB tote pools in NSW, VIC and ACT?

You will need a TAB account for NSW / ACT / VIC to access the tote pools in NSW, ACT or VIC. 

Likewise, you will need a TAB account for QLD / SA / NT / TAS to access the tote pools in QLD, SA, NT or TAS.

 

As a TAB customer in NSW, VIC or ACT do I have access to TAB tote pools in QLD, SA, NT and TAS?

See above.

 

When can I get Multiplier, Bundle Bet, Quaddie Cash Out and other TAB specific bet types on my app or in my outlets in QLD / SA / NT / TAS?

Right now, all we’re changing is the colours, while everything underneath (e.g. product and bet types) in each State and Territory will stay the same. 

Over the next while we’ll be introducing you favourite TAB products into QLD, SA, NT and TAS. We’ll let you know one this gets closer.

 

What does the merger mean for a centralised, national tote pool?

As a newly merged organisation we’ll need to comprehensively review the approach to national pooling. For any change we’ll have to get this approved by stakeholders and regulators first. We’ll let you know of any proposed changes well ahead of time.

 

Will my UBET Bonus Bets be affected?

Any Bonus Bets you had in your UBET account will remain the same (they’ll just now be in your TAB account for QLD / SA / NT / TAS).

 

 

RETAIL

Can I withdraw from my TAB (legacy UBET) account in TAB venues in QLD, SA, NT and TAS?

Yes, you will be able to withdraw funds from a TAB account for QLD / SA / NT / TAS in venues in QLD, SA, NT and TAS.

 

Can I withdraw from my TAB (legacy UBET) account in TAB venues in NSW, ACT and VIC?

No, if you only hold a TAB account for QLD / SA / NT / TAS (legacy UBET) account you will only be able to withdraw in TAB venues in QLD, SA, NT and TAS.

 

Do you plan to offer Check & Collect for TAB tickets in QLD / SA / NT / TAS?

Not immediately. This is one of many things we’re considering along with other product changes to bring you the best offers and punting experience around.

 

Will I be able to bet in retail in NSW / ACT / VIC if I hold a TAB account for QLD / SA / NT / TAS?

As is the case currently, you will be able to bet using cash in retail in NSW, ACT and VIC. 

Any vouchers must be used in the State or Territory they were purchased.

 

Will I be able to bet in retail in QLD, SA, NT or TAS if I only have a TAB account for NSW / ACT / VIC?

Yes, you will still be able to bet using cash in QLD, SA, NT and TAS outlets.

 

 

GENERAL

Will the UBET wagering app continue to work in Queensland?

Aside from the change in name to the TAB (QLD / SA / NT / TAS) app, the app will continue to work in current states and territories. In fact, you’ll see a few extra inclusions like Race and Sports Previews, and Race Replays in there!

 

Will TAB continue to support racing in our state financially?

Yes, we will continue our ongoing support of Australian racing.

 

Will my personal data be shared between TAB and UBET?

Your personal data will only be disclosed in accordance with the privacy policy that is applicable to your account. We are absolutely committed to ensuring your personal data is treated securely at all times.

 

Will my UBET+ Rewards account remain the same?

For now, your UBET+ Rewards account will remain the same except for the name – the UBET+ Rewards Program will be renamed to TAB+. Over time, we will be reviewing the two programs and work to align the program features and benefits. We’ll let you know once this gets closer.

 

Will my Rewards Points be affected?

Your Rewards Points associated with any account will remain the same. The UBET+ Rewards program will be renamed to TAB+.

 

What will happen to my pending bets?

Any pending bets will remain as is. The only thing changing in this phase the ‘covers’ (the name and logo). Everything else is staying the same.

 

Can I still call the same phone number to place a bet and speak to customer service?

Yes. In QLD / SA / NT / TAS you'll continue to call 1800 823 888.

 

Will I still be able to use tattsbet.ubet.com to place bets?

No, the tattsbet.ubet.com website will also be redirected to the TAB (QLD / SA / NT / TAS) website.
